San Alfonso del Mar is a resort located in the central coast of Chile, frequently noted because of its 1,000-meter long, 19-acre outdoor pool, which holds a Guinness world record.[1] The resort's large pool utilizes a technology developed by the Chilean company Crystal Lagoons, which uses water pumped from the Pacific Ocean, that is then filtered and treated for supply to the pool. It is the biggest pool in the world.

남미 칠레  알가로보에 위치한 산 알폰소 델 마르(San Alfonso del Mar http://www.sanalfonso.cl/ ) 리조트에 건설된 이 수영장은, 면적이 80,000평방미터(약 24,200평)이고, 물의 양은 총 25만 리터에 달합니다. 영상 속 소개에 따르면 8m 짜리 일반 가정용 수영장의 6000배라고 하네요. 길이 1km, 수심 최대 35m. 워낙 크다 보니 구글어스(두번째 사진)에서도 잘 보입니다.
